I was approached about a week ago by a friend who works for the non-profit Lift about filming an quick interview with a musician. The musician, two time grammy winner Ben Harper, would be playing the Life is Good Festival and they needed a videographer. I referred them to my former roommate Joe Gaetani who runs Burlington, VT based Rightside Productions for the job.
Meeting up this past Saturday for the event in Boston, I decided to tag along with the group to lend an extra pair of hands (if needed) and to take a few photographs here & there. The opportunity to catch a free show was a perk as well. Despite the hectic schedule of trying to set up a meeting with Ben, Joe and the Lift team were able to grab the content they needed during the quick drive between Ben's hotel and the Life is Good Music Festival. Here's a few shots from Ben Harper & the Relentless 7's headlining set of the 1st day.
Also, I encourage you to go and head over to Lift's website to check out the organization. They've got a great program helping support individuals and communities in times of desperate economic need. Their website is http://www.liftcommunities.org/.
There are a lot of things that I love about Cape Cod. Warm water, white sand, good weather and sunshine. It's made all the more better when you have good people to share it with. Today (Saturday) was no different as I was asked to photograph the joyous union of Erin Sullivan & Andrew Kirk on the shores of Buzzards Bay in West Falmouth. What a blast! Here's a few images:
They're definitely related...
as a married couple, who will be the first to ask for directions?
This past Saturday, I was invited to photograph the marriage celebration of Kathleen Giordano and Josh Holtz on the shore of Lake Pearl. Here's a few of the images:
I had the pleasure of attending the 1st Annual Hummingbird Music & Arts Festival which took place Wednesday at the Showcase Live in Patriot's Place next to Gillette Stadium. The festival, which showcased local musicians & artists, was in memory of Elizabeth Giordano, who passed away in May of last year from a car accident in Vermont. All of the ticket sales, raffle items and silent auction proceeds will go to a scholarship fund set up in Elizabeth's name at Curry College.
Sheila Giordano, mother of Elizabeth, takes the stage to raffle off items donated to the Festival by area businesses.
